DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE OF THE COLLEGE OF DRAMATIC ARTS

Abstract

               This research aimed to study and develop strategies leading the College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute to achieve excellence. Using mixed methods, this study was conducted in three phases. Phase 1 concerned studying and analyzing the context of the management. In phase 2, indicators of excellence were developed. Phase 3 involved development of strategies (CDACM) to achieve excellence. The SWOT analysis was employed to define these development strategies. The 65 samples comprised directors, deputy directors, chairpersons, and stakeholders from the College of Dramatic Arts, Chiang Mai, Chanthaburi, Lop Buri, Kalasin and Phatthalung. Research instruments included an observation form, an interview form, a questionnaire, SWOT analysis, opinions of stakeholder and a strategy checklist assessed.

               Qualitative analysis was used to analyze and synthesize the content. The research found that there are 7 strategies to achieve excellence of College of Dramatic Arts as follows: 1) Dramatic Arts Leadership System: DALS 2) Dramatic Arts to Create a Network: DACN 3) Dramatic Arts Research Culture: DARC 4) Dramatic Arts Wisdom Centre: DAWC 5) Dramatic Arts Academic Services: DAAS 6) Dramatic Arts Learning Organization: DALO 7) Dramatic Arts to Production Teachers and Artists: DATA.
