Adoption of the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products

Abstract

Thai tobacco product control laws have been very advanced. But in these laws cannot control or eliminate the illegal trade in tobacco products. This article aims to present Thailand on the Protocol to Eliminate Illegal Trafficking of Tobacco Products. By participating in, signing and accepting, the Protocol to eliminate illicit trade, the illegal trade in tobacco products can be eliminated, First of all, causes of prevention the supply chain of tobacco products can be traced and traced through a series of government and global measures, that share information around the world. Secondly, good law enforcement in accordance with protocols that establish best practices, related to the trade in tobacco products, including any illegal actions.  Lastly, there should be an international cooperation among the parties, and between intergovernmental organizations dealing with trade, excise, customs, and crime.
