Impacts of Factors Affecting Job Performance of Teachers Of Bilingual Schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority

Abstract

The objectives of study were (1) to find the job performance of teachers in bilingual schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority and (2) The impact of factors affecting job performance of teachers in bilingual schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. The samples were 375 class teachers who are working in in bilingual schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority Explanatory factor analysis and Path Analysis were used in analysis. The results show that (1) The performance of teachers in bilingual schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority were two components: (1.1) job in-role and (1.2) job extra-role. (2) Factors affecting the performance of teachers in bilingual schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were tested and fitted with the empirical data. (Chi-Square = 4.102, df = 3, CMIN \ DF = 1.367, RMR = .005, GFI = .997, RMSEA = .031) The results also reveal that the easement to work and the balance of work have directly influence on the in-role performance of coefficients 0. 14 and 0.79 , respectively. The easement to work and professional development have directly influence on extra-role performance of job with coefficients 0.64 and 0.15, respectively. The resources supporting and job challenges have indirect influences on job performance with a coefficients 0.51 and 0. 27. The balance has an indirect influence on the extra-role job performance with coefficient equal influence 0.06. The variables that the influence factors on performance in duty were easement to work, the balance of work, resources supporting, and job challenges. The variation of performance in duty was 64 percent that could be explained by influence factors. Moreover, variables influencing on extra-duty, easement to work, professional development and balance, were 43 percent to explain the variation of extra job performance.
