Guidelines for Internal Quality Assurance, in accordance with Policy Framework of the School Evaluation and Quality Assurance System Reform, for Private Schools in Bangkok

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study current conditions and desired conditions of educational quality assurance in accordance with policy framework the evaluation system reform of private schools in Bangkok and 2) to study guidelines for this educational quality assurance. A sample of 192 was randomly selected from directors of those schools, and five experts. The survey data were collected using a questionnaire, and a semi-structured interview schedule. Statistics used in data analysis. Included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Priority Need Index (PNI). The findings were as follows. 1) Both current status and desirable condition of educational quality assurance of private schools were overall at the high level. 2) Guidelines for quality assurance in accordance with policy framework the evaluation system reform of these private schools were based on the top three found PNI ranking. For the aspect of management and information systems (PNI=0.11), administrative structure should cover and support student centered educational management. For the aspect of monitoring and verifying of education quality (PNI=0.09), responsible team, both at the individual and school level, should be formed. Finally, for the aspect of continual educational quality assurance development (PNI=0.08), results of both internal and external quality evaluation should be analyzed and be then continually developed for benefits and effectiveness.
