Abstract

This article aimed to present the roles of flight attendant’s leadership to be (1) a safety leader member in the aircraft and (2) an in-flight service provider on the aircraft.  As the standard criteria of International Civil Aviation Organization, all flight attendants were required to enter and pass the safety training requirement regularly. Moreover, they were expected to ensure in-flight safety and to cope with the emergency handling cases effectively.  If there was irregularity case occurred, the pilot will make judgment to any incident and/or accident which affect to the aircraft safety, if it is in danger, the pilot will make decision and command. To comply with the pilot’s command, flight attendants who work as the safety leader will implement their knowledge, handle an emergency procedure and instruct all passengers as they were trained. Finally, before travelling by plane, passengers should take deep concern about in-flight safety, be conscious, observe the warning signs, review the emergency procedure, and follow flight attendants’s instruction strictly.
