Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) to study the New Public Management level and the local development level of the Chainat Provincial Office for Local Administration. 2) to Guidelines the development of new public management of Chainat Provincial Office for Local Administration. This research is a mixed method research. The population used in the study consisted of executives, head of, staff.  In the area Chainat Provincial Office for Local Administration. The sample was obtained from 40 persons and key informants 13 persons. derived by determining the sample size of the table (Krejcie & Morgan, 1970) Questionnaires were used to collect data and structured interviews. Analysis data by Descriptive statistics and Content Analysis. The quality of the questionnaire was checked with a conformity index (IOC) of not less than 0.5. The research results were found as follows 1) The new public management level for the Chainat Provincial Office for Local Administration. Overall high level. The study found that, the enhancing budget spending discipline and the aspect of process modification and working method. At the highest level. As for the creation quality services for the people, Support for human resource development, The focus on performance. very level. 2) The level of local development of Chainat Provincial Office for Local Administration. Overall high level. The study found that, the Telecommunications infrastructure. the highest level. as for the water supply and the fresh water transmission system, Quality of life, the promoting community occupation. That Very level. 3) The development approach New Public Management It was found. that the importance of performance and the support of human resource development.
