The purpose of this research was to study the potential and guidelines for promotion of community-based tourism in Ban Prasat, Than Prasat Sub-district, Non Sung District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The sample group used to collect the quantitative data consisted of tourists and local people, a total of 381 people. They used questionnaires as a tool for data collection. The confidence level of the questionnaire was 0.89. And in-depth interviews and participatory observation as a tool to collect information from key informants with a local community leader and a local sage of 8 people. The quantitative data was analyzed by mean and standard deviation analysis and apply content analysis techniques to qualitative data. It was found that the Ban Prasat community has the potential to promote appropriate tourism management with a highlight on the subject of archaeological sites, the history and cultural background of the community, and there is also a unique local archaeological museum. There are tourism activities based on the wisdom of the local people, and guidelines for the promotion of community-based tourism in Ban Prasat. And providing knowledge on the conservation of archaeological tourism resources by recruiting responsible agencies to help support the facilities and develop sustainable public relations materials.
