The Impact of Tourism Affects the Local Community of Khong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Abstract
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the demographic characteristics of people in the community towards community-based tourism in Khong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province 2) to study the impact of tourism on the local community in Khong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, in terms of both positive and negative results. This study was quantitative research. The samples used in this study were 400 local people in the community of Khong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The data collection method was a questionnaire that had a reliability of 0.96%. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inference statistics, a frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and statistic analysis of variance, ANOVA, to test the hypothesis. The results showed that 228 of the respondents were male, 142 persons aged between 40-49, 275 persons were in marital status, 245 persons graduated with bachelor's degree, and 131 persons had an average monthly income between 20,001-25,000 baht. The positive impact of tourism on the local community reviewed that the significant highest level of decision making was the economy in general, followed by the environment, and culture and society respectively. There was no different positive effect on local tourism at the statistical significance level of 0.05. For the negative impact, at the significant lowest level was the economy, followed by the environment, society, and culture respectively. There was no different negative effect on local tourism at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
