Management Factors Affecting the Survival of Private Institutions of Higher Education in Thailand

Abstract

The purposes of this quantitative research were: (1) to study the level of management factors of private institutions of higher education in Thailand, (2) to compare the survival of private Institutions of higher education in Thailand, classified by personal factors, and (3) to study management factors that affect the survival of private Institutions of higher education in Thailand. The population consisted of personnel in private Higher education in Thailand; samples were 400. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-Test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1. The level of management factors of private institutions of higher education in Thailand was at a high level overall and specific. 2. The comparison of the survival of private institutions of higher education in Thailand classified by work experience in higher education institutions and job position was statistically significant at the 0.05 level. 3. The management factors included PDCA Cycling (X4), Core Competency (X5), Knowledge Management (X1), and Transformative Leadership (X3) which affect the survival of private Institutions of higher education in Thailand. The effectiveness to predict accounted for 50.90 percent. The equal of model was
