Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study administrative factors influencing the quality of school administration under the Phichit Secondary Education Service Area Office; 2) develop a structural equation model of management factors affecting educational quality development for small secondary schools; and 3) develop practice guidelines for management factors affecting educational quality development for small secondary schools. This study was qualitative research. A multistage random sampling was applied for the research samples, which consisted of 260 administrators, teachers, and school committee members from selected schools. The research was conducted to obtain frequency, percent, mean, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. A packaged program was also employed to investigate the construct validity and the consistency of the hypothesis model with the empirical data. The findings of this study revealed the following: 1. A structural equation model of management factors for educational quality development in small secondary schools was developed with consistency with the empirical data. 2. For factors influencing the quality of small school administration, the influence coefficients were determined in descending order as follows: There were 3 direct influencing factors, namely, changing leadership, followed by community participation, and creating a learning organization, respectively. 3. In the evaluation of practice guidelines for enhancing student quality factors in small schools, when considering each aspect, it was found that the suitability aspect had the highest mean at a high level.
