Creative Health Tourism Development Guidelines: Secondary City Development in Ranong Province

Abstract

Currently, health tourism is becoming more widely known and is a high-value type of tourism which is being watched especially the guidelines for the development of health tourism in Thailand. The aim of this study is to present a guideline for developing Creative Health Tourism in secondary city development in Ranong Province by reviewing the literature and related research and then conducting an analysis which discusses the development of secondary cities : Ranong Province to be a city of creative health tourism, Factors Affecting Health Tourism Popularity in the Next Normal Era, Secondary City Tourism : Potential and Advantages of Health Tourism in Ranong, Mueang Rae Nong : Creative Health Tourism Branding, Guidelines for the development of tourism  as a creative health tourism city, and integrated cooperation between stakeholder. However, Creative health tourism will be an increasingly popular among a tourist which will be able to respond to the development of secondary cities as new destinations to reduce the carrying capacity of tourists. Moreover, it can distribute income to secondary cities and communities that will improve the quality of life of local people. According to the result of this study, it was found that tourists who traveled to Ranong province were opened to a new tourism experience that is not just the old way of travelling. But it is a tourism that can get both health and mental in the form of natural therapy. Furthermore, learning, doing, exchanging knowledge between hosts and tourists. This will be useful and a new alternative for Thai tourism, communities, government agency and private agency as well.
