The Relationships between Performance Based on Professional Code of Ethics of Educational Professionals and Organizational Commitment

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to study the performance based on professional code of ethics of educational professional, (2) to study the level of organizational commitment of educational professional and (3) to study the relationship between the performances based on professional code of ethics and organizational commitment of educational professionals. The population consisted of school administrators, teachers and assistant teachers in Kabang’s network center school, Kabang district, Yala province. The samples were 65 informants. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability was 0.94. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the research were as follows: 1. The performance based on professional ethics of educational professional was at high level in overall. 2. The level of organizational commitment of educational professional was at high in overall. 3. The relationship between the performances based on professional code of ethics and organizational commitment of educational professionals was a middle positive correlation (r = .56) at a statistically significant level of 0.01.
