Effect of Learning Management in Physical Education Using Cooperative Learning Approach on Learning Achievement in Volleyball of Grade 9 Students

Abstract

This research aimed to study the effects of learning management in physical education using the cooperative learning approach on learning achievement in volleyball among Grade 9 students. The sample consisted of two classrooms of Grade 9 students at Suankularb Wittayalai Thonburi School. They were selected by using a simple cluster. The cluster selection method used specific examples through purposive selection. The instruments for collecting data were the cooperative physical education learning management plan, a volleyball skills test, and achievement measures. The analysis of the data was done by averaging the standard deviation and testing for differences with t-values. The research results were found as follows: 1) the total average score of the experimental group's volleyball skills test after the experiment was higher than the pre-experimental level, with statistical significance at level 05; 2) the mean sum of the post-experienced experimental and controlled groups' volleyball skills test scores showed that the experimental groups scores were higher than those of the controlled group. with a statistical significance of.05, and (3) the mean achievement in the volleyball posttest of the experimental group was higher than the control group with a statistical significance of.05.
