The Influence of Learning Behavior and Achievement Motivation on the Success of Study of Students at Asia-Pacific International University
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this study were as follows: 1) to study the direct effect of learning behavior on the achievement motivation of students at Asia-Pacific International University; 2) to examine the direct effect of achievement motive on the academic achievement of students at Asia-Pacific International University; 3) to investigate the direct influence of learning behaviors on the academic achievement of students at Asia-Pacific International University; and 4) to examine the indirect influence of learning behavior on academic achievement, using achievement motivation as a transmission variable, among students at Asia-Pacific International University. Data collection for this research involved a questionnaire survey administered to 307 participants from the Asia-Pacific International University. The statistical analysis encompassed frequency and percentage calculations, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The research findings indicated that the research framework and empirical data were consistent and met the required conditions (p-value = 0.27, χ2/df = 1.094, GFI = 0.968, AGFI = 0.941, RMSEA = 0.018, NFI = 0.976, IFI = 0.998, CFI = 0.998). The results revealed that students' learning behaviors had a direct influence on their motivation for academic achievement, and achievement motivation directly impacted the success of their study. However, it was observed that learning behaviors did not have a direct influence on the success of studies. Additionally, it was found that learning behaviors had an indirect influence on study success through achievement motivation acting as a mediating variable. This research has contributed new knowledge to the field and offers recommendations for future research to individuals interested in this area of study.
