Learning Management of Health Education and Highly Effective Habits to Promote Prevention Skill Smoking Usage of Grade Nine Students

Abstract

This quasi-trial research aims to compare the mean values of the defense skills scores before and after school and the mean defense skills scores of the experimental and control groups. The sample was students in their third year of secondary school in the first semester of the 2023 academic year by a simple random draw. The participants were divided into an experimental group of 30 people and a control group of 30 people. The research tools consisted of the following: (1) a five-step ladder health education learning management plan with four character-building plans; and (2) questionnaires on critical thinking skills, attitudes, and practices in smoking prevention data were analyzed using statistics, such as mean and standard deviation. Hypothesis testing was conducted on the paired sample t-test and the independent sample t-test. The average smoking prevention skills were statistically significantly higher than before the learning management at the 0.05 level. The average score of smoking prevention skills was statistically significantly higher than that of the control group (.05).
