Managerial Skills of Administrators in the New Normal Era that Affect the Effectiveness of Private Higher Education Institutions

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to study the level of managerial skills of administrators of private higher education in the new normal era, (2) to study the level of effectiveness of private higher education institutions, (3) to compare the level of effectiveness classified by personal factors and (4) to study managerial skills factors that affect the effectiveness of private higher education institutions. The population consisted of personnel in private Higher education institutions in Thailand; samples were 380 informants. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability was 0.974. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, T-test, one–way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1. The level of managerial skills of administrators of private higher education in the new normal era were at a high level overall and specific. 2. The level of effectiveness of private higher education institutions was at a high level overall and specific. 3. The level of effectiveness of private higher education institutions classified by age, average monthly income, work experience, and highest job position was statistically significant at the 0.05 level. 4. The managerial skills of administrators of private higher education in the new normal era factors included technology and digital skills and interpersonal skills which affect the effectiveness of private higher education institutions. The effective prediction accounted for 60.50 percent.
