The Creation of Short Documentary “Lakorn Chatri in Petchaburi Province” through Silpa-Bunjob Online Channel

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) investigate the short documentary production of Lakhon Chatri in Phetchaburi on the Silpa-Punjab Online Channel produced by the researcher, and 2) examine audience satisfaction with the short documentary by using mixed-methods research. The sampling was divided into qualitative groups using interviews with 10 experts, and the quantitative research sample is a group of 286 documentary viewers. They were selected by the population size of 1,000 people in the study. The instruments for collecting data were document surveys, documentary production, in-depth interviews with experts and those involved in the research, and questionnaires—data analysis by descriptive statistics and content analysis. The research results found that the creation of a short documentary production includes five steps of the process, as follows: 1) researching and developing issues 2) preparing for production 3) filmmaking 4) post-production, and 5) broadcasting and advertising the documentary. Additionally, the data collected from the 286 participants reveals that the overall satisfaction with the short documentary is at its highest level (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 4.68, SD = 0.54). In conclusion, this documentary provides academic information combined with entertainment and persuades people to culturally conserve by presenting Lakhon Chatri performances’s value and Lakhon Chatri artists’ lifestyle.
