Abstract
The purposes of this study were: 1) to study the levels of school effectiveness and the factors affecting school effectiveness; 2) to improve and inspect the causal relationship model of factors affecting school effectiveness; and 3) to propose a causal relationship model. This research was a mixed-methods study, consisting of three phases. The first was to study the level of school effectiveness and the factors affecting school effectiveness using research analysis, focus group discussions, and questionnaires. The second was to improve and inspect the casual relationship model affecting the school's effectiveness. The third was to propose a causal relationship model that was inspected by an expert. The study sample was administrators and teachers, totaling 323 through a questionnaire. The research instruments, including LISREL, were statistically used for data analysis. The finding showed that: 1) the effectiveness and factors affecting the effectiveness of the school were at the highest level. The effectiveness of the school consisted of parent satisfaction, teacher performance competency, student performance competency, administrator performance competency, and teacher satisfaction. Teacher, administrator, student, and external factors were the factors affecting the school's effectiveness, respectively. 2) Research hypothesis forms and empirical data were harmonious, and 3) the proposed policies included the sequence of weighted scores of the observed variables, supporting students to utilize laboratories and facilities in the university, encouraging school administrators to apply the theory, methodology, and effective technologies in school administration, promoting the specification of students’ qualifications based on their learning achievement to enroll in Matthayom 1 and Matthayom 4, and encouraging teachers to obtain knowledge, competency, and experience in their enlisted majors or appointed positions.
