Factors Influencing Decision on Pursuing a Master’s Degree Among Fourth-Year Social Science Students at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus

Abstract
This research aimed to study factors influencing fourth-year undergraduate students in social sciences at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, to further education in a master's degree. The quantitative research involves a sample group of 212 fourth-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Social Sciences program at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus. The study involved a sample size of 53 students per faculty, which was selected randomly. The data was collected using a questionnaire, and statistical analyses were performed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that the following factors influenced the decision to further master’s-level studies: 1) knowledge factors 2) income factors 3) social factors 4) appropriateness of educational expenses, and 5) students’ aptitude. These variables can predict the decision among fourth-year undergraduate students in the Social Sciences program at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, with 42.8 percent towards further education.
