Competencies of Educational Institution Administrators Affecting Academic Affairs Administration of Basic Education Institutions as Perceived by Teachers under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract
This research aimed to study the competencies of educational institution administrators. 2) to study academic affairs administration of basic education institutions, 3) to study the relationship between competencies of educational institution administrators and academic affairs administration of basic education institutions, 4) to study competencies of educational institution administrators affecting academic affairs administration of basic education institutions as perceived by teachers under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample consisted of 340 teachers, selected through proportional stratified random sampling. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, with an overall reliability coefficient of .985. Data analysis included percentages, means, standard deviations, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The research results were found as follows: 1) The competencies of educational institution administrators were at the highest level as a whole. 2) The academic affairs administration of basic education institutions was at its highest level as a whole. 3) The relationship between competencies of educational institution administrators and academic affairs administration of basic education institutions was a positive correlation at a high level, .82, and was significant at the level .01. 4) Competencies of educational institution administrators affecting academic affairs administration of Basic Education Institutions under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 included curriculum instruction, assessment and evaluation of learning, educational quality assurance, educational administration, morality, professional ethics, student affairs and activities, and academic leadership. They predicted the variance of academic affairs administration of Basic Education Institutions under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 measured an average of 73.40% and was a significant level of .05. These could be formed as the regression equations of raw score were Y = 1.10 + 0.35X4 + 0.25X3 + 0.20X6 + 0.18X7 - 0.12X5 - 0.10X2 and standardized score was Z = 0.41Z4 + 0.29Z3 + 0.25Z6 + 0.21Z7 - 0.14Z5 - 0.10Z2.
