The Business Performance Model of Entrepreneurship Acquired Service Quality Standard for Truck Operation in Thailand
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to 1) study the level of opinions regarding variables in the business performance model; 2) examine the direct influence, indirect influence, and combined influence in the business performance model; and 3) establish a business performance model of operators who have obtained the truck transport service quality standards in Thailand. The research design is mixed-methods research. The sample group, comprising truck transportation operators with certified truck transportation service quality, was purposively selected and stratified through random sampling, resulting in a total sample of 260 people. Their data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Fifteen truck transport business stakeholders were selected by purposive sampling. The result was that (1) the logistics resources factor, the innovation capability in service delivery, and business performance all received high levels of agreement; (2) the logistics resources factor and the innovation capability in service delivery have a direct positive influence on business performance. Furthermore, the logistics resources factor also exerts a direct positive influence on business performance, with the innovation capability in service delivery serving as a significant mediating variable at the 0.05 level of statistical significance; and (3) the business performance model of operators who have received the quality service standards for truck transportation in Thailand is consistent with empirical data. This leads to the development of a business performance model for operators offering standard quality trucking services, enhancing the capacity of transportation operators, increasing competitiveness, elevating the image of truck transportation under quality service standards, and ensuring safety in road freight transportation.
