Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of public service adaptation in Thai local government organizations through glocalization mechanisms amid globalization trends. The objectives are fourfold: (1) to identify the major problems of public services in Thai local government organizations; (2) to explore approaches to solving these problems through glocalization mechanisms; (3) to analyze the challenges posed by globalization; and (4) to present the adaptive dynamics of public services in Thai local government organizations within the context of glocalization and globalization. The discussion highlights three key aspects: (1) the development of public service competencies by enhancing the capacity of personnel in local government organizations to meet expected standards; (2) effective public service delivery should be organized through commercial and social enterprise models, supported by technological innovation; and (3) the promotion of global governance in the future.
