Business Continuity Management after COVID-19 pandemic. Case study: THAI Flight Training co. ltd. Revenue generating business unit of Thai airways international (public) co. ltd.

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were (1) to study the factors influencing business continuity management after COVID-19 pandemic, and (2) to propose guideline for effective post-pandemic business continuity management.

           This qualitative research focus on the revenue-generating business unit of Thai Airways International Public Co. Ltd.; specifically THAI Flight Training Co. Ltd. The study sample included two executives and four operational officers. Data were collected through in-dept individual interviews and focus group discussions. The findings identified four key factors affecting business continuity management: 1) leadership, 2) organizational competency, 3) resilience, and 4) business continuity management strategies.

          After the pandemic, the management team and staff shared a common vision for driving the organization toward survival. This involved revision, modifying, and reformation rules and regulations to achieve organizational proficiency. Effective resource utilization became a priority, emphasizing collaborative planning between management and staff. Ultimately, the shared goal is to guide the organization into a new era of success following the crisis.
