The Effects of Team Building on Employees Engagement

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to 1) compare the employee engagement of the experimental group before and after the experiment and 2) compare the employee engagement after the experiment between the experimental group and the control group


The sample group used in the research is a permanent employee of a company located in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The employee of 1 year up level of engagement low score and voluntarily participate in the experiment. By samples were divided into 2 groups: 10 persons is experimental groups and 10 persons is control groups. The research tools such as team building program has 2 days, 6 hours a day, so keep data by using employee engagement scale as reliability.954, The experiment was randomized control group pretest-posttest design by the experimental group employees joined the team building program and the control group employees did not participate in the team building program. Then the data were analyzed for mean, standard deviation and t-test.


The results were as follows:


  1. The experimental group joined the team building program has employees engagement scores in the higher with statistical significance at .01 level.

  2. After the experiment, the experimental group had higher employees engagement scores control group with statistical significance at .01 level.
