DEVELOPMENT OF THE ALC ENGLISH LANGUAGE PRACTICE PROGRAM

Abstract
The objectives of this research are to 1) develope a skill training program for the ALC (American Language Course) exams, 2) study the ALC English language proficiency test achievement of the naval cadets, and 3) study the satisfaction of the cadets using the ALC English Language Training Program. The amount of 80 students in the second year of academic year 2019 were evaluated for this research. The research also included 1) the ALC English language practice program and the program quality assessment form for professionals 2) the ALC English language test scores before and after studying and 3) a cadet satisfaction assessment form using the ALC English language proficiency program. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation and t test methods. The results were found that the evaluation of the quality of the expert program was “good level”. The ALC English test scores after studied had a statistically higher average score of 85.45 /64.85 than before studying at the statistically significant level of 0.05 and the satisfaction towards learning by the program was “very high”.
