Strategies for Enhancing Research Utilization for Development of Basic Education Schools

Abstract
The objective of this research was to develop the strategies for enhancing research utilization for development of basic education schools. The research process was divided into two stages. The first stage was a study of the state, the problems and the needs of research utilization, using the questionnaire for data collecting from the samples which were 265 school administrators and the focus group discussion with 14 administrators and teachers. The second stage was to develop the strategies to enhance research utilization, using the information from the first stage, studying the guidelines for enhancing research utilization by interviewing the 8 experts and conducting connoisseurship involving the 13 connoisseurs for evaluation of the strategies.Research findings showed that there were 6 strategies which consisted of 1) developing the quality of research to be credible, 2) focusing on raising awareness of research utilization, 3) accelerating the development of research information systems to facilitate the research utilization, 4) encouraging to establish a learning network and developing quality research, 5)strengthening culture emphasis on research in schools and 6)enhancing communication and dissemination of research.
