The Development of Website of School of Educational Studies, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to study the needs of the development of website; 2) to develop a website; and 3) to study the satisfaction with the website of School of Educational Studies, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. The informants consisted of the website users and the experts for website development. The employed research instrument were questionnaires and the website assessment form. Data were statistically analyzed with the use of the percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNI_modified; while qualitative data were analyzed with content analysis. The research results indicated that 1) the samples’ needs of the website development was at the high level in every aspects, the content domain followed by those of the data linkage domain, and the website design domain; 2) the developed website comprised two steps: (1) the website building and design using WordPress program; and  (2) the quality evaluation of the developed  website by the experts; the quality evaluation result of the developed website revealed that all aspects were rated at the highest level in every aspects; with the aspect receiving the top rating mean being that of the website design domain, followed by those of the advantage and implication domain and the content domain respectively; and 3) regarding their satisfaction with the website, it was found that the samples’ satisfaction with the website was at the high level in every aspects, with the aspect receiving the top rating mean being that of the advantage and implication domain, followed by those of the content domain and the website design domain respectively.
