The Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University Academic Journal was established in 2014 with financial support from Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University. The journal provides an academic forum for its lecturers, academics, and those who are interested. The journal provides a forum for authors to present and exchange knowledge in humanities and social sciences with the public, including academic circles. The editorial board aims to develop the journal to be high quality and widely accepted. The journal was placed on Tier 1 on May 25th, 2018, and it passed the quality assessment from the Thai-Journal Citation Index Center (TCI) which is in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. From 2020 to the present, the journal has been evaluated for quality and certified by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre, it is now placed on TCI Tier 2 for the years 2020-2024.

The articles will be assessed the quality by a committee of qualified reviewers (Peer Review). Neither the readers' names nor the authors' names are revealed (Double-blinded peer reviews). Peer reviewers are within and outside the university, with a minimum of 3 reviewers.

    1. The journal promotes and disseminates academic works and research that are valuable for knowledge development in the fields of humanities and social sciences.

    2. The journal serves faculty members, researchers, and third parties interested in humanities and social science as a medium of knowledge transfer, academic sharing, and theoretical concept sharing that are related to research.

    The Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University Academic Journal accepts manuscripts in various fields including academic articles, research articles, and review articles. The journal welcomes manuscripts, written with content in the fields of Humanities including anthropology, linguistics, English language, Thai language, literature, music, performing arts, visual arts, and philosophy and religion. The journal also accepts content written related to the fields of Social Sciences including sociology, history, social development, law, political science, public administration, and other related fields. For articles in other disciplines, they must adhere to the research methodology or theories in Humanities and Social Sciences.

 

    The journal is published every 6 month, twice a year (1st issue January - June, 2nd issue July - December).

Policy and Criteria for Article Review

The Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University Academic Journal has criteria for article reviews and guidelines for publication: 

    1. The article must be an academic article, research article, or review article that has been peer-reviewed and follows the objectives, scope, criteria, and format of the journal by the editorial board.

    2. The article must be an original work that has not been previously published elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication.

    3.The article must be written in accordance with the format specified by the Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University Academic Journal.

    4. The article must not be a copy and it must adhere to ethics in human research guidelines.

    5. The author must follow the journal guidelines ruled by the journal's editorial board and agree to allow the editorial board to make necessary corrections to the manuscript before publication.

 

The article that will be considered for publication, and it must undergo the evaluation process by the editorial board and qualified reviewers in the relevant field (Peer Review) as follows:

    1. The authors must register to make a manuscript submission by visiting the Thaijo 2.0 system and they are required to submit their manuscripts by adhering to “the submission form for online publication” by visiting the link: https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/hssnsru/submissions. 

    2. Once the editorial board receives the manuscripts successfully, they will inform the authors immediately.

    3. The editorial board will review the submitted manuscripts for publication regarding the submission form, content scope, and academic quality to ensure that the authors follow the journal's policies. The evaluation results will be submitted to the authors within 15 days.

    4. The Editorial Board will process the manuscripts for initial screening by sending the manuscripts to at least 3 qualified reviewers in the relevant fields. The reviewers review the quality of the manuscripts and whether they are qualified for publication. This screening process is known as double-blind peer review. It will take approximately 15 days. If the reviewers do not notify their evaluations within 15 days, the editorial board will follow up for the next steps.

    5. After the qualified reviewers evaluate the article, the editorial board will make a decision based on their recommendations on whether the article should be published, revised by the author before reevaluation, or rejected. The decision of the qualified reviewers will be communicated to the author within 15 days of receiving the evaluation results, and it will be considered final.

 

    There are charges in submitting and publishing an article in the Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University Academic Journal.

    1. The article publishing charge for the journal written in Thai is 4,500 Baht. 

    2. The article publishing charge for the journal written in English is 5,500 Baht.

    The editorial board will notify the authors of the     payment after the editorial board has reviewed the article. To be considered for publication in this journal, an article must meet the journal's criteria and format. If the article has not passed the evaluation of the qualified reviewers, the journal reserves the right in terms of publication fees refund or money back.
