The StudyofEfficiency towards English Innovation and Guidebook Based on Communicative Approach for Working Preparationabout HospitalityIndustryConcerning Hoteland Accommodation Services in ASEAN Community for Maehongson Community College Students

Abstract

            The purposes of this research were to find out the efficiency of English innovation and guidebook for working preparation about hospitality industry concerning hotel and accommodation services and to increase English skills when working in hotels in ASEAN Community for Maehongson Community College students.  The population was 30 students enrolled in the year 2017 at Mae Sariang Campus, Maehongson Community College.  The experiment followed the one group pretest posttest design.  The experimental instruments consisted of pretest, posttest, computer assisted instruction and its guidebook, and English workbook and its guidebook.  The data obtained were analyzed by mean and standard deviation.

            The findings of this research were as follows: 

1. English innovation and guidebook for working preparation about hospitality industry concerning hotel and accommodation services included computer assisted instruction, its guidebook, English workbook, and its guidebook. The efficiency (E1 / E2) was0/49.67.


2. Students enrolled in the year 2017 at Mae Sariang Campus, Maehongson Community College has developed their English skills increasingly for working in hospitality industry concerning hotel and accommodation services. The pretest’s Mean was 13.80 while its standard deviation was 4.06 The posttest’s Mean was 19.86 while its standard deviation was 4.40. The posttest results of 90% of students were higher. And the posttest results of 10% of students were the same.
