The Trace of Esarn Art and Lao Art: the Study of Sim in Si Sa Ket Province

Abstract
This research article had objectives to 1) to study type, format and main feature of Sim in Si Sa Ket Province. 2) to study the dating of Sim in Si Sa Ket Province. The type of this research is qualitative research by using the thought of archaeology and history with the analyzation and descriptive. The area study of this research is Amphoe in Si Sa Ket that has religious building, which has 5 Amphoe combining 13 Sim. The result of this research is 1. Most of Sim that found in Si Sa Ket is Stifling Sim which had 4 formats are 1) Traditional Sim 2) Sim that has influenced in Lao art 3) Sim that has influenced in Rattanakosin art 4) Sim that has influenced in Vietnamese builder. 2. Most of Sim in Si Sa Ket are Traditional Sim that were hard to dating. So it can be able to dating in another 3 formats which are 1. Sim that has influenced in Lao art (Xieng Khouang) that can be dating approximately 24th Buddhist Centuries until present. 2. Sim that has influenced in Rattanakosin art can be dating approximately 24th Buddhist Centuries until present. And 3. Sim that has influenced in Vietnamese builder can be dating in the mid of 25th Buddhist Centuries until present.
