บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิชาการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เพลงสุโขทัย เถา มีผลการสร้างสรรค์ดังนี้ เพลงสุโขทัย เถา สร้างสรรค์โดยการนำเพลงเทพทอง ชั้นเดียว มาขยายเป็นอัตราจังหวะ 2 ชั้นและอัตราจังหวะ 3 ชั้น เพลงสุโขทัย เถา เป็นเพลงหน้าทับปรบไก่ มี 5 จังหวะ สอดแทรกสำเนียงเขมรเข้าไปในบทเพลง อยู่ในกลุ่มเสียงทางใน (ซลทXรมX) ท่อนแรกเป็นเพลงทางพื้น ท่อนสองเป็นทางเปลี่ยน
การสร้างสรรค์เนื้อร้องเพลงสุโขทัย เถา ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากคำขวัญของจังหวัดสุโขทัย โดยนำคำขวัญจังหวัดสุโขทัยมาถอดคำสำคัญ และนำมาเรียบเรียงสร้างสรรค์ให้ถูกต้องตามฉันทลักษณ์ในรูปแบบกลอนแปด ซึ่งเป็นรูปแบบที่นิยมนำมาเป็นบทร้องประกอบเพลงไทยเดิม เนื้อร้องเพลงสุโขทัย เถา มีเนื้อหาใจความเกี่ยวกับการบรรยายถึง เอกลักษณ์ ความเป็นมา ความโดดเด่น และความภาคภูมิใจ ของจังหวัดสุโขทัย
