Main Article Content
Abstract
This study employed a quantitative research approach. The objectives were (1) to examine the level of confidence that investigators have in the forensic crime scene examination conducted by the Phetchabun Provincial Forensic Science Office, and (2) to compare this confidence based on personal factors. Data were collected from 81 investigators in Phetchabun Province using a questionnaire. Statistical analyses included frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA (F-test), and LSD post hoc comparisons. The results indicated that: (1) Overall, investigators demonstrated the highest level of confidence in the forensic crime scene examination. All examined aspects—work system, performance behavior, ethics of forensic officers, and officers’ knowledge and skills—were rated at the highest level. (2) Age was found to be a significant factor affecting confidence levels, with statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level. However, gender, education, position, and length of service showed no statistically significant differences.
