Management Guidelines for Student Affairs Administration of Baan Pasangnangoen School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

This independent study aimed to study the state management of the student affairs, the problems, and the management guidelines of the student affairs at Baan Pasangnangoen School. The populations of the study were 30 people including school administrators, teachers, the student council committee, the basic educational committee, the deputy director of Chiangrai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, and the supervisors of Chiangrai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The tools used to collect data are the questionnaires and interview form. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, content summary and synthesis. The conclusion of the study indicated that state management of student affairs in five aspects including student council activities, school discipline activities, guidance service, lunch service, and health services and student’s welfare the performance levels were at moderate in all aspects. The problems of studentaffairs management in terms of personnel revealed that personals lack of knowledge and expertise matching to various tasks. Moreover, the administration did not pay attention to promoting the student affairs. The budget implementation was inadequate without planning and monitoring. The materials were not adequate and quality requirements. The school did not allow stakeholders to be involved in joint planning, implementation, and evaluation of various. Besides, it was lack of public relation in order to collaborate with other organization. Guidelines for student affairs administration of Baan Pasangnangoen School; the plan should be provided so that all parties involved in education to participate in planning, budget planning, and issue a written order appointing workers. The action plan should focus on the most effective learners. Administrators and teachers need to focus and compliance functions at full capacity. The administrator should sent personnel for training to improve their knowledge and skills to perform their duties in student affairs, should coordinate with other organizations or participate in budget support operations. Regarding the control, the report should submit to the management performance regularly to monitor performance and satisfaction surveys of students and parents on the school's student affairs. Moreover, the revision should be based on the assessment and survey results, outreach to students, parents, and the participation of basic education committee or other organization involved to jointly analyze and plan revisions to improve and develop the student affairs of Baan Pasangnangoen School further.
