Guidelines for participative management of the administration of Ban Nammin Child Development Center in Chiang Kham District of Phayao Province

This independent study was aimed to investigate the current state of participative management of the Ban Nammin Child Development Center administration and to find guidelines for enhancing the participative management of the center administration. The sampling population was 44 related persons which consisted of the 14 committee of the Ban Nammin Child Development Center and 30 parents. The data gathering tool for investigating the current state of the Child Development Center was questionnaire then systematically analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The tool used for finding guidelines to enhance the participative management of the Child Development Center administration was structured interview then systematically analyzed, concluded and presented in data description. The study found: 1. The participative management of the Child Development Center administration was ranked at medium level which can be divided that the academic and curriculum activities was ranked at best level but the promote cooperation to other organization for the child development was ranked at poor level. 2. The proposed guidelines for enhancing the participative management are : The Child Development Center management will have to 1) set up the rule to recruit the most suitable committee 2) train the Child Development Center’s committee 3) find solution to any problem of the center together 4) set up monthly meeting 5) participate in planning, creating the Child Development Center’s vision and policy 6) participate in action plan and budget 7) participate in making decision for learning and teaching materials, lunch and supplementary foods 8) participate in fundraising 9) participate in promoting the Child Development Center to public 10) evaluate the satisfaction of parents 11) participate in community based management. The personnel will have to participate in 1) children's development plan 2) tracking of children's development 3) giving suggestion to child care provider 4) staff recruitment 5) encouraging teachers to attend training courses 6) supporting professional teacher development 7) teacher assessment 8) tracking professional ethics of teacher. The persons who are responsible for the center’s properties, environment and safety will have to participate in 1) checking the Child Development Center properties for safety condition 2) security measures 3) providing hygienic environment 4) practicing for accident prevention 5) providing children’s play equipment 6) supplying first aid equipment The persons who are responsible for the academic and curriculum activities will have to participate in 1) local curriculum development 2) determining the desirable qualification 3) creating activities to promote children’s development 4) educational supervision 5) student learning assessment The persons who are responsible for all sectors participation and support will have to 1) encourage children to attend community or social events 2) support children to learn directly from the local teacher and local knowledge 3) support children to learn from the local sources 4) support children to participate in activities of the important event 5) support in health check 6) support to have parent club 7) participate in evaluation of the Child Development networks. The persons who are responsible for the child development networks promotion will have to. 1) cooperate to other child development centers 2) promote, support, compete and contest 3) promote the Child Development Center news to public 4) promote educational trip to other child development centers 5) promote using Information Communication Technology at the Child Development Center
