Proposed Strategies for Enhancing the Home of Charity Management in Accordance with Education in the 21st Century

The purposes of this study aimed to examine the quality level of the Home of Charity School management and to investigate the important causes and factors that have enhanced and reduced quality of the management, as well as to find strategies to enhance the school management in accordance with education in the 21 st century. The population were the 1 2 school related persons consisted of the Home of Charity manager, the principal, a group of teacher, a group of care provider and the representative of the nearby community. The tools employed in this study were document analysis, semistructured interview and Appreciation-Influence-Control (A.I.C) procedure technique. The study indicated as follows: 1. The quality of physical, emotional, social and intellectual development, quality assurance, research and development and satisfaction of related persons were ranked at a good level. 2. The important causes that enhancing the quality of management were planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting. The important causes that have reduced the quality of management were urgent work, staff recruitment and unity. The important factors that have enhanced the quality of management were man, money, management, material, market, morality and message. The factors that have reduced the management quality were working in an unrelated field to the course of study of staff, lacking of adaptive equipment, no passing on knowledge how to take care of special needs children to the community and no monthly news letter to promote school activities. 3. The three main strategies for enhancing the Home of Charity management in accordance with education in the 21 st century are to develop teachers to be professional teachers in the 21 st century, to develop school facilities together with its environment and administration method to facilitate the main aims of education in the 21st century.
