การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนาแบบตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาคุณภาพโรงพยาบาลของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนในโรงพยาบาลทั่วไป จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วยบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนที่ปฏิบัติงานในโรงพยาบาล จำนวน 303 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ และได้รับการตอบกลับทั้งสิ้น 260 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยพัฒนาขึ้นและผ่านการตรวจสอบคุณภาพเครื่องมือ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติเชิงอนุมานด้วยการทดสอบไคสแควร์
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า บุคลากรสายสนับสนุนมีระดับการมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาคุณภาพโรงพยาบาลโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ร้อยละ 48.5 ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ได้แก่ รายได้ต่อเดือน ระยะเวลาการปฏิบัติงาน การเป็นคณะกรรมการพัฒนาคุณภาพโรงพยาบาล และการผ่านการอบรมด้านการพัฒนาคุณภาพโรงพยาบาล รวมทั้งปัจจัยสนับสนุน ทัศนคติ และความเหนื่อยหน่ายในการทำงานพัฒนาคุณภาพ มีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาคุณภาพโรงพยาบาลของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
ผลการวิจัยสามารถนำไปใช้เป็นแนวทางเชิงนโยบายสำหรับผู้บริหารโรงพยาบาลในการกำหนดแผนงานและกลยุทธ์ เพื่อพัฒนาระบบงานคุณภาพของโรงพยาบาล และยกระดับการมีส่วนร่วมของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนอย่างยั่งยืน
