Using theatrical activities to promote coexistence in multiculturalism Of ethnic students: Case study: Mae Chan Suksa Songkhro School Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

          The purpose of this research is to creating drama activities that improve the existence of cultural diversity of ethnic students and to study the effects of using drama activities in developing cultural coexistence among ethnic students The sample were 25 students (Grade 4-6) in Suksasongkhromeachan School, Mae Chan, Chiang Rai, By using a specific method by selecting 5 students from each ethnic group which are Hmong, Akha, Lisu, Muser and native. The Keys of the research are 1) a test for knowledge about coexistence of cultural diversity for students, 2) drama activities to promote coexistence of cultural diversity 10 times in total 3) knowledge test of coexistence of cultural diversity for teachers. The results of the research found that 1) The pattern of activities rely on theory of drama activities combined with group process theory which take 5 weeks, 2 times per week, 60 minutes per time. 2) The results of the comparison of activities to promote coexistence in cultural diversity. After using drama activities Together with group process theory The results of the research found that After using drama activities The sample group had better cohabitation behavior. By using the knowledge test about coexistence in multiculturalism to measure before and after all 3 aspects of the experiment. Knowledge levels were statistically different at the 0.05 level.
