Leadership Vision and Success in Urban Development

Abstract

        The research on Leadership Vision and Success in Urban Development aims at investigating the components and processes of the vision for urban development, as well as to explore the success components Urban Development and to present the Leaderships Vision for Successful urban development through qualitative research methods such as documentary and in-depth interviews. The Mayor of Nonthaburi Municipality, the leader of the local government organization, Nonthaburi Municipality, Nonthaburi Municipality Administrative Officer, community leaders, and representatives of the people in Nonthaburi Municipality, a total of 15 people, are the key information providers. The findings revealed that the process of emergence of a leadership Vision that can lead to success in urban development consists of an understanding of urban problems, access to problems, and management through action. Leadership, effective management, creativity, and planning are critical components of urban development. It has also been discovered that visionary leaders and success in urban development require a Vision as well as a management style derived from accessibility, knowledge of the problems in the area, creativity, future planning through political, administrative, and political experiences, transformation into action, and illustration. Furthermore, it has been discovered that successful policy transformations that result from vision must begin with the leader and be passed on to the followers in order to convert strategies into practical action.
