This article aims to analyze the moral discourse presented in Thai poems written by Thai poets after the coup of 2006 to 2010. The study found that the moral discourse was expressed through the framework of political values and concepts, namely purity, sacrifice, liberty, and reality. The four concepts were rooted in moral discourse of Buddhism. These four conceptions
constructed the power for political moral discourse and provided legitimacy to the poets to extremely criticize the political networks and supporters of Thaksin Shinawatra. These also made the poets feel confident to express their political views that they presented the best and most appropriate opinions for Thai politics and society during the two colored conflict situations.
