Abstract

This research “Law Learning Management in Bandu Municipality Communities in Muang District, Chiang Rai Province” aimed to investigate the application of law, and develop the law learning management model for Bandu Municipality Communities in Muang District, Chiang Rai Province according to their contexts. Based on the Participatory action research, the methodologies adopted to collect the data from community leaders, and villagers in the communities were the surveys, observations, interviews, group discussions, and the law learning management for the communities which was conducted through the tests, and satisfaction questionnaires towards the law learning management in order to develop the law learning management model for the communities.

The findings revealed that an ethnic diversity and age had an effect on the integration and change of the villager existence in the communities as well as rules and regulations that were established for each community. Although most problems to which the economic situations lead mostly related to criminal cases as accidents, people in the communities almost need to be enhanced knowledge about illegal drugs and cooperation.

According to the contexts, application of law, and their needs, the law learning management model of Bandu Municipality Communities that was developed emphasized on important aspects as no stressful environment, no intensive law knowledge, variety of learning style, and discussion on problems and solutions in case of community problems. Therefore the knowledge as the drug-related offenses and penalties as well as the cooperation in the community had been enhanced through the community leaders (village headman), who have played a key role in solving any problems and accessories in resolution. After participating in the law learning management, their related knowledge was mostly in the highest level. Also the overall satisfaction was in the highest level, and they are satisfied with the lecturer the most. Moreover, all of them are ready for the legal knowledge distribution to their communities.
