Abstract
The objective of this research is to propose a find out of Competencies for Professional Administrators of Basic Education Institution and to inspect the competencies for Professional Administrators of the Basic Education Institution, Office of the Basic Education Commission.
The research is based on qualitative research and quantitative research. The research consists of 4 parts: 1) Analyze documents to find the needed competencies for the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrator 2) Competencies draft for the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrator by interviewing 5 experts 3) Research the suitable competencies draft for the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrator by questioning the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrators in 185 education areas, in total 348 persons, analyzing documents by percentage, average, standard deviation and factor analysis 4) Research the suitable competencies draft for the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrator by seminar of the Professional Basic Education Institution Administrators in total 15 persons.
The results of the research
Competencies of Professional Administrators for Basic Education Institution, Office of the Basic Education Commission consists of 2 competencies groups, 66 indicators : 1. Core competencies based on 5 aspects which are the following 1) Ethics, a total of 6 indicators 2) Service mind, a total of 2 indicators 3) Team work, a total of 4 indicators 4) Achievement motivation, a total of 4 indicators 5) Accumulated expertise in the work field, a total of 2 indicators and 2. Competencies in regular career of the Education Institution Administrator based on 3 aspects : 1) Professional Administrator characteristics, which are based on 3 aspects of the minor components, such as 1.1 Leadership, a total of 10 indicators 1.2 Management Administration, a total of 6 indicators 1.3 Personality, a total of 7 indicators 2) Occupation competencies knowledge, a total of 12 indicators 3) Skills and expertise, a total of 13 indicators.
