พฤติกรรมการใช้ทรัพยากรสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเลย

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate behavior  of students using the electronic information  resources  at  Loei   Rajabhat  University in terms  of  use  purposes, resource  of use,  types  of  electronic information  resources  use,  place  of  use,  learning  how  to use,  method of use,  frequency,  time,  and  period  of  use  as  well  as  output  format.  Problems  and  suggestions  regarding  the  use  of  electronic  information  resources  were  also  studied.

The  survey  research  used  questionnaire comprised  for  collecting  data.  The  research  samples  were  387  students  from  all  of  them  11,731  registered  in  the  academic  year  2011

The finding were  as  follows :

Three hundred  and  eighty – seven students (96.38%) used  electronic information  resources.  Most  of  them  were  students  of  the  Faculty  of   Management  science.  One  hundred  and  thirty  one  students (33.85%) never  used  any  electronic information  resources  because  They do not  have  computer  and  internet,  were  not  aware  of  the  electronic  information  sources,  and  were  lacking  computer  skills.   

Most  of  the  students  used  electronic  information  resources  for  writing  reports  and  term  paper  because  they  received  updated  information.  The  mostly  used  electronic  book  databases  were  Net  library  and  e-books.  The  mostly  used  online  bibliographic  database  was  Dissertation  Abstracts  Online  Besides,  the  finding  revealed  that  students  learned  how  to  use  electronic  information  resources  by  themself.

Most  of  them  used  electronic  information  resources  during  06.01 p.m.-09.00 p.m.  and  4-5  times  per  week.  The  problems  of  using  electronic  information  resources  were  reportedly  at  moderate  level.
