Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study academic administration  based on the sufficiency economy concept of  basic education schools under the Office of  Loei Primary Educational Service Area 1,and 2) to compare  academic administration levels based on the sufficiency economy  concept of basic education schools under the Office of  Loei Primary Educational Service Area  1 as classified by status and  schools size.  

There research sample totaling 468  school personnel of basic education schools under the Office of Loei Primary Education Service Are1 consisted of 143 administrators and 325 teachers, obtained by stratified random sampling. The employed research instrument was a rating scale questionnaire with reliability coefficient of .98, developed by the researcher. Statistics used for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, and Sheffe method of pair-wise comparison.

The findings indicated that (1) the overall and by-aspect conditions of academic administration based on the sufficiency economy concept of basic education schools under the Office of Loei Primary Education Service 1 were rate at the high level; the rating means of the aspects of academic administration based on the sufficiency economy concept of basic education schools could be ranked as follows: instructional management, school-based curriculum development, organizing school atmosphere and environment, participation of parents and community in educational management, monitoring and evaluation of educational management, and organizing school management system: and (2) on significant difference was found regarding the comparison of academic administration based on the sufficiency economy concept of  basic education schools as classified by status: while significant difference at the .05 level was found regarding the comparison of academic administration based on the sufficiency economy concept of basic education schools as classified by size, with pair-wise comparison results showing that academic administration in medium size schools and large schools being significantly different.
