Abstract

The purposes of this research aimed to study the teacher in private schools monitored by Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the aspects of : 1) the principals’ academic administration  based teachers’ opinion, 2) the teacher commitment, and 3) the relationship between academic administration and teacher commitment. The samples were 192 teachers form those schools. The research instrument for data collection was rating scale questionnaire and statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient (r). The findings indicated as follows:

1. Teachers perceived the academic administration in overall aspect and by item were at high levels. The highest item was the evaluation and followed by instruction management and quality assurance respectively.

2. The overall aspect and by item of the teacher commitment were at high levels .The highest item was professional commitment, followed by organization commitment and the commitment to the students’ learning respectively.

3. The academic administration was positive relation with teacher commitment in overall aspect at a moderate level with the statistical significance at level .01. It found that the   academic administration associated with the commitment as follow:  academic administration associated with the commitment to the students’ learning, the curriculum and   curriculum implementing associated with the commitment to the students’ learning. The relationship between curriculum component curriculum implementing associated with instruction management then organization associated with the professional commitment.
