This research has an objective to study and develop a system for working time data collecting and checking mistakes of the finger print scanning system for the staff of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University. The research results showed that the working time data collecting and checking based finger print scanning initially had high precision but would require the improvement and development in the future due to problems related to undetectable finger print of some staff and thus could not be recorded. there were 83 mistakes happened via the finger print scanning which had the main factors caused the finger print scanner did not record the data, undetectable finger prints of some staff and unintentionally electricity shutdown. These factors caused results in low reliability and data collecting errors. The satisfaction evaluation was 3.75 of 5.

From the research results, the system should be improved to have high reliability and up-to-date, as well as, ease for using, convenient, and detect the correct by using the face scanning instead to reduce problems of undetectable finger prints and changing installation location due to less or too high environmental illumination. In addition, easier database accessing and reporting should be also implemented for faster services for the system users (especially, the respective staff of the organization) for daily operation. The satisfaction on the system should be also continuously improved to higher score.
