The Development Of Practical Learining Management Based On Davies’ Approach Combined With Multimedia To Enhance Automotive Painting Skills Of Voctional Certificate Level 3 Students

Abstract

Research objectives and findings objectives: This study aims to: 1) Develop practical learning activities based on Davies' approach combined with multimedia to enhance automotive painting skills of Vocational Certificate Level 3 students, ensuring effectiveness based on the 75/75 criteria. 2) Compare the automotive painting skills after implementing Davies' practical learning approach with multimedia against the 75% benchmark. 3) Compare the learning achievement after learning through Davies' practical learning approach with multimedia against the 75% benchmark. Sample Group: The sample group consisted of 37 obtained from cluster sampling vocational certificate level 3 students majoring in automotive mechanics from Phon Thong Industrial and Community Education College, Phon Thong District, Roi Et Province, during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. Research Instruments: The research tools included: a lesson plan for learning management a total of 4 plans, each lasting 7 hours, amounting to 28 hours, a skills test for automotive painting of 4 subjective questions, an achievement test for automotive courses containing 30 questions with 4 answer choices and data analysis: Statistical methods used included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one sample . Research Findings: 1) The practical learning management based on Davies' approach combined with multimedia for enhancing automotive painting skills had an effective score of 81.87/77.54, which exceeded the predetermined criteria. 2) Students who learned through Davies' practical learning approach with multimedia demonstrated higher automotive painting skills than the 75% benchmark, with statistical significance at the .05 level. 3) Students who participated in the learning approach also showed higher learning achievement than the 75% benchmark, with statistical significance at the .05 level. This study confirms the effectiveness of integrating Davies' practical learning approach with multimedia in enhancing both skills and academic achievement in automotive painting.
