การศึกษาความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิต ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 A Study of 8th Grade Students’ Competency in Algebraic Generalization

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ ประการแรก เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีที่ใช้ในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงคณิต ประการที่สอง
เพื่อศึกษาความยืดหยุ่นในการใช้กลวิธีเพื่อสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิต ประการที่สาม เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการสร้าง
ความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตของนักเรียนจำแนกตามผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ และประการที่สี่ เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถ
ในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตของนักเรียนจำแนกตามเพศ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้น
มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์สูง ปานกลาง และตํ่า ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2555 ของแต่ละโรงเรียน
ในเขตอำเภอเมืองมหาสารคามทุกสังกัด โดยเลือกสังกัดละ 2 โรงเรียน โรงเรียนละ 6 คน รวมทั้งสิ้น 54 คน นำกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด
มาจำแนกใหม่เป็น 3 กลุ่มอีกครั้งหนึ่งตามคะแนนที่ได้จากการทำแบบทดสอบของการทดสอบการศึกษาระดับชาติขั้นพื้นฐาน (O-net)
เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบทดสอบสถานการณ์ปัญหาเชิงพีชคณิต วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีพรรณาวิเคราะห์ (Descriptive
analysis) โดยการนาํ ผลการทาํ แบบทดสอบสถานการณป์ ญั หาเชิงพีชคณติ ของกลมุ่ ตัวอยา่ งมาเทียบกบั เกณฑก์ ารประเมินความสามารถ
ความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตที่ผู้วิจัยพัฒนาขึ้น ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. กลวิธีที่นักเรียนใช้ในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตมากที่สุด เรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้ดังนี้ กลวิธีโดย
ปริยายของเหตุการณ์ กลวิธีการเปลี่ยนแปลงตามลำดับของเหตุการณ์ กลวิธีการผสมผสานของเหตุการณ์ และกลวิธีการเชื่อมโยงของ
เหตุการณ์
2. ความยืดหยุ่นในการใช้กลวิธีเพื่อสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตของนักเรียนอยู่ในระดับตํ่าเป็นส่วนใหญ่
3. นักเรียนที่มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์สูงมีความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตอยู่ในระดับ
ปานกลางเป็นส่วนใหญ่ นักเรียนที่มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ปานกลางมีความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิง
พีชคณิตอยู่ในระดับตํ่าเป็นส่วนใหญ่ และนักเรียนที่มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ตํ่ามีความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณี
ทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตอยู่ในระดับตํ่า
4. นักเรียนชายและหญิงมีความสามารถในการสร้างความเป็นกรณีทั่วไปเชิงพีชคณิตอยู่ในระดับตํ่าเป็นส่วนใหญ่

This research aimed to study of 8th grade Students’ Copetency in Algebraic Generalization with
the following specific objectives: 1) to study strategies used in algebraic generalization, 2) to study
flexibility in using algebraic generalization strategies, 3) to study the students’ ability in algebraic generalization
classified according to their achievements in mathematics, and 4) to study their ability in algebraic
generalization according to genders. The sample group for this research consisted of 54 of 8th grade students
studying in the second semester of the academic year 2012 in schools in Maha Sarakham Muang District,
with six students selected from each school where two schools within the region were selected. A total of
54 students is the sample of this studying. An O-net test was used to assess the sample group and to classify
them according to their mathematics ability levels: high, moderate and low. The instruments used in this
research were a test of algebraic problems. Data were analyzed by taking into consideration the results of
the students’ solving algebraic problem situations and using the algebraic generalization framework acquired
through focus-group discussion that had been tried out. Data were descriptively analyzed and presented.
Results were as follow:
1. The algebraic generalization strategy of 8th grade students used the most in obtaining the right
answers was explicit strategy, followed by recursive strategy, chunking strategy and whole-object strategy.
2. The flexibility in using algebraic generalization strategy of 8th grade students was found at the low
level.
3. Most of the students with high mathematics ability were found at the moderate level in algebraic
generalization ; most students with moderate mathematics ability were found at the low level in algebraic
generalization ; and the students with low mathematics ability were found at the low level in algebraic
generalization .
4. Majority of male and female students had competency in algebraic generalization at the low level.
