Study of Design and Communication Art Illustration: Understanding History of Lampang for Cultural and Heritage Tourism

Abstract

A study and illustration design in the topic of “Hoo Juk Lampang Jak Yaan Ba Gao” for a purpose of tourism promotion which is based on historically, art and cultural of Lampang has objective to study about the tourist attraction by the history and the culture of Lampang as well as to design the illustration for tourism promotion based on historically, art and cultural of Lampang, for making the public relations presentation. The scopes of Information on this project are study and making illustration design of art and cultural including of the architecture of commercial area and residence in the district of Lampang city as well as publicity of the illustration design in forms of book, postcard and leaflet to promote tourism awareness of Lampang. Researchers have collected the information from the treatise, the article, research papers, including of others information from the library and information from the interview of specialists, the folk philosophers, and people that live in the study area. The research tools are as follows. The data were analyzed using the following statistics: Using mixed methods, starting with qualitative research and analytical methods for identifying cultural identities. And quantitative research to find satisfaction in the design of the illustrations to find. 1. Frequency and percentage 2. Mean (Mean) 3. Standard Deviation. Auditor Tool used to store data. Using the IOC (Index Item of Congurent: IOC). The illustration techniques includes drawing by pencil, pen and computer to translate and present ideas. The beautiful illustration can attract targets and create the picture similar to real picture.

In overall assessment satisfaction levels of the media of illustrated “Hoo Juk Lampang Jak Yaan Ba Gao”, it is found that the analysis of historically, art, cultural and others of Lampang obtains average: 3.87 / Best Satisfaction Level, analysis of illustration and content obtains average: 4.352 / Best Satisfaction Level, techniques of making illustration obtains average: 4.55 / Best Satisfaction Level.
