Abstract

Supporting Agencies The library is an important knowledge source for youth which has to be able to adapt to the changes in digital technology, and the management has to change the pattern of the desirable library in accordance with the changing environment and social context.

The research was aimed to 1) study the behavior of using social networks, 2) study the requirement of desirable library, 3) compare the requirement of desirable library by the personal factors, and 4) study the relationship between the use of social networks and the pattern of the desirable library for students of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The sample group was 393 undergraduate students in the academic year of 2018. The data was gathered by using the questionnaire, and the data was analyzed by using the descriptive statistics, t-test analysis, one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.

The findings revealed that 1) the overall of the behavior of using social networks was education, entertainment, and communication, 2) digital library, virtual library, and hybrid library, 3) the students in different faculty have different requirements of desirable library, and 4) the relationship between the use of social networks and the pattern of the desirable library for students of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University was in the high level. These findings were useful for the Academic Resource and Information Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University to improve the effective service to meet the needs of students in the digital edge.
