Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the effects of a series of activities on the self-esteem of the third-year air music students at the Royal Thai Air Force School of Music. The sampling group in the research was 14 third-year Air Music students, with a pre-test and post-test after the experimental study. The instruments employed were a series of activities on self- esteem for Air Music students, which included six sessions, each lasting for two hours, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale Thai Revised (RSES-TR-10). The collected data were analyzed using percentage, means, standard deviation, and a paired sample t-test.

The results indicated that the self-esteem post-test scores of the participating students ( = 22.93, S.D. = 3.19) were significantly higher than their pre-test scores ( = 18.21, S.D. = 6.04) at a statistically significant level of .01. Therefore, the findings suggest that the activity package on self-esteem was effective in enhancing the self-esteem of the Royal Thai Air Force School of Music students. The study's results could serve as a useful guideline for teachers and parents in utilizing the activity package to improve the self-esteem of air music students in the future.
